I think that getting a wood clarinet will considerably help your
playing. I'm not really privy to whether this make and model is right,
but I know that my wood Yamaha for around $450 has made considerable
difference over a plastic. It is an inevitable change really, if you
want to continue playing and get into higher level stuff. Wood is
definitely a good investment, but I differ to others with a lot more
knowledge about this particular instrument.
