I am impressed by the newer Buffet plastic clarinets (in the past year).
They seem to have more closely duplicated the dimensions of the wooden
E-11, which I like very much for intermediate students. (They now are
coming in a brushed plastic, which doesn't make a bit of playing
difference, but is one way to know that you have their latest model). The
key work is said (by a buffet rep) to be identical to the R-13, but I have
found that not to be the case.

Subject: student intsruments

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've written. Could you please
give me some comments on the student model plastic clarinets made by
Buffett and Selmer? Thanks so much.

Regards,
Starr
