As far as I know, the normal Bb Clarinet (the one almost everyone plays),
is also called the Soprano Clarinet. My knowledge in music goes that far,
that I can state that the soprano in a choir reads the treble clef. So,
it is very logical to make the link to the "soprano" clarinet.
Most of the types of clarinet (Bb, A, Bass, Alto,...) use the treble
clef, I have only seen the bass clef in a bass part two times.
Unfortunately, the part in my brain where I stored the explanation for that
had a virus just last week, and I lost all the data in it.
