Actually, come to think of it, they look more like this:

The idea is that there is a little "vertex" in the middle, with little
curly parts on top and bottom. Unlike the curly brace, though, they curve
inward. But the actual clef is drawn more like a brace. Maybe this is
better:

|| |__ <---- the little "vertex" hangs on middle c.
