I regularly perform this on basset clarinet (I own a Leblanc), and in fact
I did the Boston premiere of my own properly "bassetized" version of the
Concerto several years ago. I used the much-discussed fragment in G and
the existing score/orchestration as guidelines in trying to figure out what
Mozart intended. I also do improvised Eingangs at the appropriate places
(dominant seventh holds, that is). No cadenzas, Dan, don't worry!
