There is an article from The Instrumentalist- Jan. 1979,
"Major Orchestra Clarinet Audition List" by Cecil Gold. It is a list of
excerpts divided into the categories "Always requested,"
"Frequently requested," "Sometimes requested," and
also has a few Eb and Bass excerpts listed. He compiled the list
from information sent to him by 24 major orchestras.

Beware of the Bonade Orchestral Excerpt book also.
There are many mistakes in it.

If you have the resources, it is best to get the complete part
from your school's orchestra library, and double check your
excerpt for errors. Always be sure to listen to several
recordings of the excerpts you are studying, since tempo can vary
from recoding to recording.
