Reading others humorous anecdotes reminded me of one from way back in
college years ('70's).

Many of you may know Harvey Hermann, retired clarinet instructor at
University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, but best known for his work
with clarinet choirs............I believe he led the mass choir at
Lubbock this year.

During a clarinet choir concert we were playing a Mozart symphony that
Harvey arranged. One member of the 2nd clarinets, exposed on the end of
the second row took ill during the 1st movement. This individual
apparently was too embarassed to get up and leave, so he vomitted on
stage, right next to his stand. Of course this was in view of the
audience. He remained seated, apparently feeling better. Between
movements, Harvey very calmly and professionally walked over to this
individual, looked at the mess on the stage, then pulled out his
handkerchief and carefully covered the mess. Without saying a word, he
returned to the podium and started the second movement. Way to go,
Harvey!
