Carol,

The lesson is that if you had planned to patent the metal clarinet, you're
too late. But there's no patent on other kinds of clarinet, I bet --
ceramic, glass, tin foil, cardboard, etc.

Steve,
I'm always willing to learn from history, but what is it that I'm
supposed to be learning?! Other than the obvious fact that today Conn
invented the metal clarinet. Is there an underlying philosophy?
