Normally I would agree with what you say about matching brands of
instruments. However, I own a Yamaha YCL 72A that I purchased about 12 years
ago. It has been the absolute best A clarinet I have owned. (I've had a
Selmer and several Buffets, including a Buffet that came from Moennig's
shop.) This clarinet plays so well that I doubt I will ever let it slip thru
my fingers. I don't like any other clarinet Yamaha makes, but this is a
definite exception.
