This is funny. My son recently found some cork grease of mine
(Vandoren) that comes in a chapstick-like container. He used it
before realizing. No ill effects.

As one who frequently gets chapped lips, (Chicago's lovely winter climate) I
always seemed to have Chapstick with me whenever I ran out of cork grease.

I finally stopped buying cork grease and now I use Chapstick for my lips, and
my corks.

Works great!
