Has anyone heard Richard Stoltzman's recording of the Copland Concerto
(or one of them)? I've been listening to his, trying to add the scoop
type sound he uses coming out of the cadenza into 120 (from altissimo E
to F#). How does he produce this effect? I've tried fingering sliding,
pulsing breath and nothing seems to be getting close to what he is
doing.
