I must say, that Neil received the same request by me once....and the
request not to edit a message that is, remove from context and eliminate
the free speech aspect he seems to champion. The fact that he continues
to do so leads one to believe that:

a. he is simply unable to change the behavior
b. he enjoys conflict and continues for that reason (highly likely!)
c. he does not understand the request
d. requires the attention that any behavior can bring...including
attacking, accusing, disagreeing (with anything!). Very standard red flag
for low self esteem.

The best way to deal with a person of this kind is simply to ignore any
and all comments.......a severe approach, but one that can work. The
personal attention one receives through responses is what keeps some
people on Klarinet...and, I suspect, that that appears to be why Neil
continues to enjoy the listserve so much.
