Also based on Pino's opinions on reed freedom, I use a piece of 1
inch wide elastic with the ends sewed together to make a snug fit on
the mouthpiece and reed. It's very fast to put a reed on, and easy
to reposition the reed. I've never had any trouble with the reed
slipping, but I don't move the mouthpiece from one clarinet to
another in the middle of a piece, as many do. I can't really say
I've noticed a difference in tone, with this or any other ligature.
The cap fits pretty well.
