That's weird. I thought all clarinets needed to be greased. Maybe the
joints have been getting stiffer so gradually that you didn't notice. I'd
suggest putting a little on and seeing if it changes anything. It might
be good even if they aren't stiff, just to keep the corks going, but I'm
not sure about that.
