Nick,

Charles Fail Music in Marietta (near Atlanta) Georgia shipped a 50-pound
Leblanc hairpin BBb contrabass clarinet in its case surrounded by styrofoam
peanuts in not one but two! commercial-grade dish packs spliced together to
me in La Canada (just north of downtown Los Angeles) for under $100 bucks!
They ship by rail. UPS tends to "throw" their packages around. Someone's
trying to make a quick $400 on the deal.

Don Gross
La Canada, California

p.s. Perhaps it's for the personal courier they use and includes gas, food,
and lodging! Just let me know when you want me to deliver your new horn.

p.p.s. Check out Fail's Web site at:

http://www.charlesfail.com/

They have several Bb bass clarinets including two Leblanc pro-line models I
believe.
