Subj: Selmer Cork grease

I only wish I had the same experience: Try comparing the Selmer to Micro,
Leblanc, Vandoren, Buffet on a Sax neck, and you'll see what I mean. The
stuff doesn't absorb into the cork well. Not from the same vat, but it's
own special blend..... ( I do think the others come from the same vat.)
I liked Abe Galper's grease story.

In my experience, the Selmer is the same as Leblanc or any other private
label grease in a lipstick-style tube. I think it all comes out of the
same big vat somewhere and only the labels change. My favorite grease
would be Micro in a flat, round container, except it stinks. The Selmer is
what's available to me and I have been using it, but I am going to try the
homebrew.
