One solo that I have had a lot of luck with is the Saint-Saens Sonate.
It is really pretty, and it can show off some really fine musicianship,
as well as a bit of technicality. I happened to be lacking a bit in the
whole technical thing, so it really was fine for me. If your strength is
a combination of music and technique, try (as I think Craig has
mentioned) either of the Weber Concertos. I happen to really love the
first (the second and third movements in particular), as I am working on
it right now, but the second one is really nice as well. Enjoy your
Junior year of high school, it was my most challenging so far, as well as
my most rewarding.
