I have used the Selmer liquid cork/tuning slide grease for many years
now. I use it sparingly and only again when needed. I had heard that it
may cause problems with the cork. I think that the trick is to go
lightly. It is very slick and lasts a long time, so I don't apply it all
that often. I have not had any problems with corks or the glue.
