Hello,
I am looking for a B - flat bass clarinet, professional model. I
have heard, by trying out and reading several postings, that the Yamaha,
Selmer, Leblanc and Buffet are good models. Rather than make a bad
judgement and buy the instrument from a classified flee market, I chose
to stick to looking in the shops for one. I am willing to spend the
money, but in particular I am looking for a used one. In all the shops I
went to, I tested a Buffet Prestige, used. From each different shop I kept
getting a wide variety of prices, from $2500 - $4500 of the same model.I
also tried a brand new buffet prestige and got wide price range from
$3000-$5000.
What I am trying to say is, why such a wide price range for each and
how much should I expect to spend for a used or new professional model?
Some advice would be helpful, could someone please help me!::) Thank you!

BTW, this may sound ridiculus, but how about having the ICA
conference, in Sydney, Australia? I know it may be a twenty six hour
flight for most people(New York, Chicago, etc..), but hey, it is a great
country to visit, and so are the people.:)
Nick:) cheers!
