Well, OK. I have been spouting off a lot, so I suppose it is only fair
that I introduce myself properly. I majored in Music on Clarinet at the
University of Notre Dame ('73). After 20 years in the Air Force, during
which time I continued to play, at first for my own enjoyment, later in
community bands (and conducted a couple, too), Also picked up saxophone
during that time. Currently work for a music store as a School Services
Representative, going around to schools and selling supplies, picking up
and returning repairs (making some on the spot), bidding on instruments,
etc. I am something of an equipment freak, so the job has some rewards
(certainly few monetary ones). Busy season is about to begin, so my
postings will likely decrease. I currently own 3 different sizes of
clarinet and 5 of saxophone out of 19 total instruments I own. Someday I
will learn to play some of them. :-) I still play in community bands, and
play lead alto sax/clarinet in a 15-piece big band. I just love doing it.
I hate when rehearsals end! Hope I haven't been too big a pain, but I do
get a little opinionated about some things. I have been known to be wrong,
however, and am not afraid to say so. Have been enjoying the show.
Klarinet on!

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
