I have several students who are currently playing on the Buffet
Greenline model. After only two year it is probably not enough time to
predict future maintenance. (Do I sound like an advertisement for a mutual
fund company)? However, in this usually dry climate and with the
temperature variations that they have described to me, the instruments
have performed admirably.
One of the purposes of Buffet's development of the instrument was
to reduce the tendency for wood products to crack, especially from lack of
proper care, while, at the same time, playing like wooden instrument.
