Wonderful players in this faculty lineup. I have no knowledge of Morales
and Simenauer as teachers, only as players, and the fact that one is good
at one of these things does not necessarily mean that they are equally
good at the other. And often players of that caliber have difficulty
identifying with the capabilities of ordinary mortals. But at least
the faculty is distinguished and that's good.

As for Krakauer and your questionable tolerance of it, it is a mark of
his versatility that he is able to function so effectively in a
variety of clarinet playing disciplines. Be envious of him and
learn to become more tolerant of klezmer. You can make a good
living at it.
