Try a Winslow ligature. I've been playing on one for almost 10 years. It
has the support of the bonade and gives the freedom of the Rovner. It is a
bit expensive but what great results. Skips are easier than the bonade but
very supported. I retired two years ago from the US Army Band abnd used it
exclusively for my last 8 years. great ligature!
