Subject: Hearing problems caused by loud noises

The discussion of the damage to ears caused by rock music reminded me
that we have a lawsuit going on right now in which two members of
the San Jose Symphony have had their hear permanently damaged by
cannon shots during 1812 overture.

The musicians were told to wear ear plugs for the canon shots, and they
did. Then they removed the plugs for the next number, but one of the
canoneers decided to shoot in the next work.

End of career music!!
