As has been mentioned serveral times on the list in the past, another way
to deal with a metal ligature that slips is to sand the inside. I usually
use the same sandpaper I have for my reeds but something a little courser
(up to about 240 grit) would probably also work fine. This sanding does not
make the ligature rough enough to damage the mouthpiece.
