Ho ho ho.

I have to say that since we last had one of these threads about
marshing bands and I said they didn't happen over here, I've actually
seen one in Europe (the Algarve, religious procession, Palm Sunday).

They certainly weren't marching for sound (unless the sound they were
after wasn't something I would have gone for).

I have a photograph of the performance, in which I am being glared at
by a young woman clarinettist who's not at that moment actually
playing. I also have photographs of some other things in the
procession, which I found a trifle odd from start to finish (it wasn't
just the marching band...).

Anyway, I'll go away now, and revert to my usual practice of killing
off anything that mentions marching on the klarinet list.
