Bill,
I moved from upstate NY to Phoenix 11 yrs ago. I brought with me a
clarinet that I had bought and stuck in a closet (for about 20 yrs).
It's still in excellent condition and all I did was have new pads and
corks put on it. No cracks, no checks. We have 5% humidity at times, as
opposed to the Mohawk Valley's constant rate of, oh, about 70-98%! I'm
hoping that my new clarinet (which is about 7yrs old) will hold up as
well.
