Craig,

Last year an acquaintance of mine played the Copland Concerto. He did
extremely well at state festival and earned a superior rating. As far as I
know he did not take any cuts. A good friend of mine plays french horn and
he played the Villanelle by Paul Dukas. He played the entire piece and his
solo was well over the alloted time. I think it would be wrong to make any
cuts in such a noteworthy solo and apparently many adjudicators hold the same
belief. Don't you agree?
