I know that Barcus-Berry makes a clarinet pickup that attaches to a DEG
Powerstar aluminum alloy barrel joint. I have seen these available as a
set in catalogs. I don't know about price. I would recommend this or one
that attaches to the bell over a regular mic, in order to allow greater
freedom of movement without drastic volume changes. Basically, I believe
in acoustic jazz, but I realize the clarinet is usually overpowered these
days by amplified drums, guitars, and keyboards, so if you need to amplify
for self-preservation, go for it.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
