In my opinion, your question is not stupid. However, don't ask an oboist
or bassoonist (such as me) about vibrato, because the method of producing
it on those instruments is very different than the clarinet. Instead, as
a saxophonist (such as me).

As you are playing, imagine that you are pronouncing the syllable "va"
repeatedly - as in, "va-va-va-va-va," etc. You can vary the speed or the
amplitude of the vibrato in many ways. Remember to use it judiciously and
within the bounds of your musical taste.

I would imagine you can get the hang of it, at least in the beginning
stages, within a few minutes.
