The pot doesn't need any more stirring because the soup is already done! How
can you not like or use vibrato? Are you refusing to be musical and
expressive? You stated that vibrato was "pretty" in various Romantic
passages on the bass (ie -harmony clarinet) so why not on a SOPRANO - a
coloratura, high- range solo instument? The refusal to teach or promote the
use of vibrato by your instructor is a great tragedy, because you undoubt-
ably will ever recover and see the wonderous capabilities of the clarinet as
a solo instrument. So go ahead, play beautiful synnthesized, passionless,
monotone "music" and see if anyone outside of the clarinet world will listen.

PS - I thought this subject was dead and burried?
