Klarinet Archive - Posting 000549.txt from 1997/08
From: GrabnerWG@-----.com Subj: Re: Mr. Leeson's (and others) comments on my comments on Stolzmann Date: Thu, 14 Aug 1997 16:50:50 -0400
In my posting I meant Exactly what I said:
I enjoyed the recital, and
I particularly enjoyed Mr. Stolzmann's performance of the Berstein.
The keys words are "I" and "enjoyed". No-one else need agree. Whether or not
this is useful information is subject to interpretation. If you dont care to
hear my opinion, just delete the posting!
However, I have read much "opinion" in these postings, and have enjoyed it!
Fact is a wonderful thing......but, is it a fact that Ralph McLane had a
"better" tone quality than, say, Harold Wright (this is just an example, no
judgement intended). I have my own opinion, but another equally qualified
person may have the opposite opinion.
There is not, and probably never will be "one way" in music. And I rue the
day should it ever come!
