I don't have any new age sentiments or affiliations, nor am I a
scientist, nor any sort of alchemist, so I don't know how it relates
to lactose intolerance, the Age of Aquarius, or my phlegmatic humours
but: it's my own experience that abstaining from butter, whole milk,
cheese, and other whole milk products can substantially alleviate
many allergies and allergic reactions, particularly hay-fever
varieties. I don't have any reason to think it would be the case for
anyone else (though sometimes friends report the same thing) and I
actually doubt it has anything to do with the production of mucous --
but I don't really know, either.
