Mel,
Majordomo is a piece of software, not a place. Any computer
(well, almost any) hooked up to a mail system can run
majordomo. In my office there are three run by a cohort of
mine (the collie list, some other public list, and a private
list) all running via majordomo.

The one the Klarinet list runs on is listserv.cc.va.us

To find out what runs on it, send the message:

lists

to majordomo@-----.us

Last time I counted, there were over 12,000 public mailing
lists, and (probably) that many private lists. At IBM, DEC,
HP and Sun there are 100's of mailing lists internally - I've
had to scan through most of them for my consulting wirk with
them.
