Lactose intolerance is extremely unlikely to cause anything
other than gastrointestinal disturbances (since true lactose
intolerance is the absence of the enzyme which breaks the lactose
into glucose and galactose - since the lactose then cannot be
absorbed by the intestinal cells, it remains in the intestine and
keeps water with it, causing all the symptoms).

This theory comes from the "new age" type medical crowd that maintains that
dairy products including milk and cheese are mucous producing.
Makes no sense to me, as I cannot sense the association in myself. But then
again my chiropractor (whose treatments I find helpful when I had them) would
pass a crystal over my head at the end of my appointment, and I haven't
needed one since.
