Alan Greenfeld asked about the date of composition
of Koechlin's pieces under the title "Les Confidence
d'un Joueur de Clarinette". I have a question
related to that music.

I recall reading that this music was composed for
a film by Rene Clair based on the 19th century
novel by that title. However, I have never found
a film by that title listed in film catalogs
I've looked at.

Was that film ever made? If so, is it available
anywhere? And, if made, did it use the music
Koechlin had composed for that purpose or was there
a different soundtrack?
