Seems to me that the sawdust/resin combination would be quite dense, giving
a "brighter" sound (Yes, yes, I know all about the inadequacy of this
terminology, but lacking a better alternative...). Rosewood clarinets,
being less dense, have a "darker," or "warmer" sound. So if you really
want a dense clarinet that is environmentally friendly, there are several
available by Bundy, Vito, etc.
