I find getting ahead an excellent idea. When I was in sixth grade, I
could play all the way up to altissimo (sp) G-just because I was bored.
Teachers: does anyone have any info on what to do for students who are
exceptionally advanced? In my band, everybody got jealous of the
exceptional player and learned what she did. Then that player would
learn so she wouldn't fall behind, then they would catch up with THAT,
and so on.
