My daughter started trumpet in 5th grade. The band director used the
same book again (Yamaha Elementry) when she was in the sixth grade,
so she was very bored and many of the second year students did quit
in frustration. Please, band directors on the list, I know beginning
bands have to start from basic books each year, but vary them from
year to year to have a little varity.
She took clarinet lessons last year, so it's legal for me to
mention her on the list :)
