My opinion is thatyou need to wait and see what her level of proficiency is
on the instrument. I know people that have played for 15 years that need to
work on the Klose. She might be able to work on something like the Baermann
technique book. Klose is still good for many things, don't get me wrong. It
is a staple to my teaching, but if she can handle something that looks harder
(notice that I said looks harder) then give it to her. I strongly believe
that the younger you can get students used to looking at a page of 16th noted
and seeing what is really there (instead of just a bunch of black ink) the
better. I tell mine that it doesn't even matter how fast they play them
because speed tends to come naturally as they practice (imagine that..lol)

This of course is my own opinion for whatever it is worth. There are many
different roads to take. The important thing is that the student enjoys
playing and taking her lessons and that she improves. If the first two
things are happening I can guarantee that improvement will follow.

Good luck!
