In my opinion, this is not true. You could have 10 mouthpieces, and some
could and would sound better than others. You could never arrange them in
such a way that those on one side of an arbitrary division could be said
to be "good" with all those on the other side being "bad." Rather, there
would be a spectrum. Some would be acceptable, some would have flaws
which would be apparent only to the player but not to listeners, etc.
