Mr. Naden -

The major point of my artice was that I DID NOT claim to be an expert on
mouthpiece design nor would I want to be one. What makes one an expert
anyway? Sound production has a binary answer - Either it sounds good or
sounds bad. Isn't the true mouthpiece expert the player who garnishes a
lovely tone? Your right, most authorities on mouthpiece design know more
than your average Joe - including myself - but who cares? The point, once
again, is that we talk too much about mouthpieces and reeds and little about
the instrument itself. My point was proven. The experiment was a success.
I received more mail on mouthpiece selection than i could deal with. I'm
not (obviously) the guy to talk to about this subject. This is the last
message in this subject I will talk about because we are doing just that ...
talking about mouthpieces!!!!!!!
