I know how you feel, Sarah. My band instructor's "main" instrument is the
flute, so she only knows the basics about clarinet. That's why I wanted to
go to Blue Lake this summer. And even the instructors at Blue Lake didn't
bother to tell us
that some clarinets come with a "beginner's" mouthpiece. How was I supposed
to know that? I've only been playing for 2 years. Unfortunatly, my was one
with the special mouthpiece for beginner's and I had to find out from a band
instrument technition who works at the studio where I take private lessons.
It just really bugged me that no one even bothered to tell us anything about
that kind of stuff.
