I can't imagine why anyone would need to go to such great lengths as
I've seen described.. Seems to me that a judiciously wielded pen-knife
would enable one to determine the composition in short order. You'd
only need a small chunk.. Might want to test in an inconspicuous area
though -- somewhere _inside_ the bore or maybe down inside one of those
little holes..
