Regarding the high F, I forgot to mention that it is the second trill
key from the top (the key sometimes known as 10A).
Of course, the second trill key from the bottom is difficult to strike
on its own, although it's possible. On one of the clarinets that I had,
I had a piece of cork glued on the that key (sometimes known as #8) but
I never used it for the high F.
The second option that I mentioned, with the throat A key, is not the
best, but sometimes in a leap, without lifting the finger too far, or
maybe not lifting it at all, can give a High F.
The FIRST option, with the second trill from the top is, very secure.
Can be used, for instance, as the first note in the opening of the Weber
concerto #2.
