Subj: Clarinetists identified on the album jacket

Picking up on an earlier thread, I too am dismayed at the lack of
identification of clarinetists with substantial solo parts in symphonic
works. A major factor in my deciding to take up the clarinet was listeni=
ng
enraptured to the opening of Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue at the age of 8.=
=

The pianist and even solo violinist are identified, but not the
clarinetist. Perhaps someone in the Los Angeles area (or elsewhere) wou=
ld
know.

The album I'm talking about -- which I regard as the best recording of th=
is
work -- if only because it's the one that is now imprinted on my musical =

chromosomes -- is a 1959 release of the Warner Brothers Symphony Orchestr=
a.
Nat Hentoff directs, and as hinted, Bert Shefter and Dan Lube perform on=

the piano and violin, respectively. There are two satin ribbons on the
cover -- it must have cost a fortune to produce. Later versions that I'v=
e
seen in used record stores had the ribbons printed. =

Can anyone help me with the clarinetist's identity?

Thanks.
