Peter,
Some brief words about Inderal. It is a member of a group of drugs
called beta-blockers. These drugs in general decrease heart rate and
blood pressure. Inderal in low doses has been used for stage fright; I
believe the starting dose is 10mg in most cases. However, be forewarned
about a couple of things:
1. Inderal can make you very drowsy at first
2. Inderal can make asthma worse, (if you're prone to breathing
difficulties.)
If you are indeed thinking of giving this a try, you'll need to go over
all the side effects and warnings with your physician. Also keep in mind
what Mark said: Interlochen may not allow you to take it.
I hope you can conquer your stage fright problem; it sounds serious.
Carol
