Thank all of you ever so much for your advise on my predicament. It is
nice to know that so many people care enough about the clarinet that they
are willing to be on a mailing list and help other performers out. I
have decided to take the first chair position, but continue to work on
and play important Eb parts. I feel that this will be a rewarding year
in my clarinet studies. Mr. Leupold, Mr. Van Cott, Mr. Walkner, Mr.
Caputo, and Mr. Teitelbaum, I am very thankful for your responses.
Without them, I might still be thinking that I could do only one, and
always wonder what would happen if... Thank you all again
