Hey Why not do both? When I was in HS I was first chair and played
E-flat on big stuff ie.. Candide (sp?) and Posy. As far as practice goes
do both. You should be able to do both. When you look at college, it will
be a good thing to have. Not many people can play the Eb. (well). If you
put down the Eb, it may take a while for you to pick it up if you need to.
And If you stay w/ Eb full time, you wont get the time you need on the Bb
lit. Kind od a catch 22,
My vote:
Go Bb and try to do it so that you can play Eb in honor band or rotate w/
the new person.
