Sarah,

Take first chair. I tried out on clarinet in my high school band (I've
played bass for the last five years) and I'll be a senior this year. I am
going into music and I REALLY wanted to play clarinet but was told my sound
didn't blend and I was very good at bass. Take this oppertunity, you will
regret it if you don't. I know I wish I could have had the chance, now I
have to study extra hard on clarinet without as much ensemble experience.
(I have been studying privately). By the way, my high school group played
SLAVA! this year, too. Last concert. I'm sorry the e-flat parts weren't
heard. Did anyone hear the the e-flat solo?

Amy
